Two of the hottest Christian acts the Dove award-winning artists Mark Schultz and Point Of Grace will be hitting the road together for the first time on their 30-city “Come Alive” fall tour. The tour is set to launch on September 10, 2009 in Decatur, IL and will travel all across the country.

“We sold so many tickets in the first two hours after tickets went on sale this morning that we had to open up a second concert!” exclaims Marion, IL promoter Ken Anderson, WBVN-FM (Marion, IL) program director in a recent press release, after tickets went on sale recently. Anderson had to add a matinee performance in Marion Sept. 12 at the Marion Cultural and Civic Center to keep up with the demand.

“People were waiting outside the offices this morning when we came to work at 6:30!” continues Anderson. “We have produced over 125 events and I have never seen the kind of energy and excitement that Mark Schultz and Point Of Grace bring to our Civic Center…Extraordinary is the right word for what Mark brings to this community of believers time after time. With the addition of Point Of Grace, another favorite of our audience, this tour offers so much for people that attend that I think it’s a partnership unrivaled in all the concerts we have produced over the 20 years.” he added.

“I am really excited to tour with the girls of Point Of Grace,” said Schultz in a recent interview. “They are as genuine off stage as they are on stage. I have been singing their songs ever since I was a youth director in Nashville and seen first hand how their message changes lives. I can’t wait for people to see the show!”

“We have talked about touring with Mark Schultz since he was a special guest for us years ago at a Girls of Grace Conference,” says Point Of Grace member Shelley Breen. “He’s such a great communicator and we are so excited to be a part of the ‘Come Alive’ tour.

Both Schultz and Point of Grace have enjoyed tremendous success on the Christian Music scene. Schultz has earned numerous accolades with seven chart-topping hits to his credit. He’s also found success on mainstream radio, scoring an AC hit with “He’s My Son.” His last project, “Live. . .A Night of Stories and Songs,” won the 2006 Gospel Music Association Dove Award for longform music video of the year. He recently earned the No. 1 spot on Billboard magazine’s Hot Christian Adult Contemporary Songwriters list.

Point of Grace has been known as the Wilson Phillips of Gospel for several years. With their chart topping "I'll Be Believing" they burst upon the music scene in 1993 and never looked back. From that point on there were Dove Awards and top charting song including one of my favorites "How You Live"

This should be a show to see and I plan to get my tickets right away. To learn more about the concert log on to www.MarkSchultzMusic.com or www.PointofGrace.net
