Nick Jr. Hanukkah Activities and Recipes 2011
This year, there are many Hanukkah- themed crafts and activities that your little ones can enjoy. Here are a few Hanukkah- themed ideas from Nick Jr. that you should check out (please note that due to the names of some shows/ activities as written by their creators, you’ll see two different spellings of “Hanukkah” on the page):

Nick’s “Rugrats Chanukah” Short

This short cartoon features the Rugrats as they learn all about “The Meany of Chanukah”. Join them as they learn what the celebration of Chanukah is all about. This video is available on Nick.com, on the Rugrats’ video page. You’ll also find two short specials on Passover!

“Umigami” Dreidel Banner

This craft shows how to make a banner to decorate for Hanukkah. Each dreidel features a letter of the Hebrew alphabet just like a real dreidel, and can be strung in whatever patterns your little one prefers. After stringing the dreidels, the banner can be hung and enjoyed by everyone!

Bubble Guppies Dreidel Craft

Make your very own paper dreidel to enjoy! This craft features the traditional dreidel letters along with your child’s Bubble Guppies pals- creating a real working dreidel to keep your child engaged in play.

Hanukkah Candle Treat Holder

These cute little crafts are designed to hold party favors in wrappers that look like Hanukkah candles. If you’re having a party to celebrate the season, these are a great way to display favors for the kids!

Craft Stick Star of David

This sparkly Star of David is made from craft sticks, glue, and paint or markers. Adorn is with pretty jeweled accents if you like, and hang it for all to see. This is a great take home craft for party guests, too!

Egg- Carton Menorah Craft

Using an empty egg carton, your little one can easily create a unique menorah for Hanukkah!

Clay Dreidel

Let your little ones get creative and make their own clay dreidels to play with! This craft also features templates for making the Hebrew letters that adorn each side, and is very easy to create in a variety of colors.

Menorah Cupcakes

These aren’t crafts- they’re the real thing! Using packaged batter, make cupcakes with a pretzel and frosting menorah on top- a great party treat!

Dreidel Cookies

These cookies are easy to make, and are shaped like dreidels! They taste better, too! Use icing for the Hebrew letters, and decorate them in whatever colors you like. Add sprinkles or colored sugar for a sparkly twist, and watch them disappear!
