Women’s Lit Book Club

Women’s Lit Book Club
What is a literature site without a Book Club?? I personally love to read a lot. It is also nice to have people to discuss books that you are reading or have read with. Every month we will as a group discuss books we would like to read or have read and recommend to others on the forum. I will then post a poll for everyone to vote on which book we will read for the month.

Our first book club selection when I became editor was Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. Everything ran very smoothly and everyone had a good time discussing as we were reading. The Women’s Lit forum will be where the main bulk of the discussions will take place. Eventually we will have a chat room set up to use and met in once or twice a month in.

Suggestions are welcome in advance for future book picks. If you are an author and would like to have your book showcased in the month for everyone to read and discuss, feel free to email me and I will consider it.

Our book picks will always be related to the topic of Women’s Literature. The book must be written by a female or be based on female characters. Erotica is ok as long as it isn’t degrading to females. I reserve the right to refuse suggestions if I feel the book recommended isn’t on topic.

In the forums and chat room during any discussions, I expect everyone to be respectful of each other and use common courtesy when addressing each other. Everyone has the right to express their opinion but using hurtful language is not acceptable. I will delete forum posts that I feel are inappropriate.

Above all, this is meant to be fun and informative. I had a great time with the first pick and look forward to many more awesome books to share with everyone! Many of the books can be found in your local library or online at Amazon.com. I’ll have a link to Amazon.com for each month’s selection so it is easy to find. If you would like to be notified when a new selection is being decided or what the new selections for each month are going to be, please join the newsletter. You will find a sign up box to the right of this article.
