The Sims 2 -
Hunger
Hunger is probably the most understandable sim need. Your sim needs food occasionally. If you have your own home, just use a refrigerator and stove/microwave to make yourself some food. A cooking skill makes food that you really enjoy, but even those without cooking skill can manage something edible.
Make sure you put a smoke alarm over your stove! Even the best cooks can occasionally burn food and you don't want your entire house going up in flames. Also remember to restock your fridge occasionally. You can "check" your fridge to see how much food is left in it, then order food on your computer. You have to meet the delivery person at your door and take the food from him. He won't actually come put it into your fridge.
