Out of the various sub-towns scattered in the lower area of Asheron's Call, I like Hebian-To the best. There are a ton of great monsters right next to the lifestone, so you can build your experience up quickly. Just north across the water are even higher level monsters. The town itself is chock full of shops and interesting selections.

If you're feeling like living dangerously, a nasty fort is at 34.2S, 80.8E.
