Baldur's Gate Chapter 4: Mines

Baldur's Gate seems to like mines. In this case, the mines are up against a river. Hmmmmmm. OK, you find Faber, who wants the guards because Andarsson's speaking ill of Davaeorn. You also in the north meet the key miner by the plug - he needs a key to flood the mines, and wants you to find Rill to save the slaves. Take the south route.

Second floor. Rill is at the southwest corner. Tell him yes you'll help, and give him 100g. You also meet Yeslick, the cleric dwarf. I like having him join my party - he's very helpful. He says Rieltar is in charge. Down to the third floor.

Tell the guard on the 3rd floor yes, and Cyric and you're OK. Go roght and down to the Ogre Mage. Now the stairs are on the left. You're ready for the final floor.

After you kill off Davaeorn, you find a letter that details a lot of the bizarre goings on, including a western house in Baldur's Gate and the Seven Suns. You get 6000xp, gauntlets, a key (to flood the mines), scrolls, and robes. Stephen, the apprentice, tells you about the mine's purpose.

Okey dokey, you get on the elevator back up to the 1st level. With everyone safe, flood the mines using the switch at the top of the map for 2000xp and +2 reputation. When you sleep tonight, you dream of blood.

You're now ready for Chapter 5, and to finally enter Baldur's Gate!
