![]() Brain Age Walkthrough - Head Count You unlock this after your third stamp. I think head count is a fun game with poor implementation. First, you only get 5 rounds of the game. That is VERY short and it means if you keep getting 5 that the guy starts to say "Jeez you are only holding the same status quo" as if you had the option of getting MORE than 5 points. He should at least say "great job getting the top score again" or something. You have a house that starts with a certain number of people in it - say 3 people. Then you watch as people enter and leave the house. It's simple addition and subtraction. Once the people are done coming and going you have to write down how many are left in the house. The problem is that sometimes they do runs of 4 people - and there isn't enough room on the screen to show all 4 people! So you see that there is a "blob" of people going in or out of the house but you have to actually look at that blob to count how many are in the blob since not all are on the screen at once. If you have a blob entering AND a blob leaving, your eyes can only look at one thing at once. In hard mode - which you get at 9 stamps - people start using the chimney to get into the house! This is a fun idea but once again with the blob mode problem, it can make the game impossible. I love the general premise here, but they should have designed the screen layout so that the "house" was smaller so that you could actually see the items you're supposed to be adding. It's not a mental challenge if the problem is that they aren't actually showing you what you need to add. It'd be like showing you grey letters on a black background and telling you to name them. If the problem is that your eyes can't see the letters, that's not a brain test - it's a vision test. My top score here is 5. Duh. Again, they need more expansion here.
