Black and White 2 Walkthrough -
Meeting the Norse

You start out in a peaceful Greek village with a town center, storehouse and field. The green ring shows your "influence" - where you have control over. The field scroll explains that you can pick-hold on the field to gather it, then drop it in the storehouse. You can grab villagers and drop them somewhere to assign them a job. For example, drop a villager in the field to make him into a farmer.

Make some foresters and farmers to get your town going. The statues indicate your town desires - so if you see something they'd like to have built, it's a good time to build them. You can always point at one to get more information on what it is indicating.

You can in fact drop trees on house blueprints to build them more quickly. You get 2,000 for creating 3 builders. Note that uprooting trees is considered evil, but if you drop them into a house to help build it, that cancels the evil out. Build up 8 houses, you get 2,000 tribute. Make little roads to connect them. Then start some breeders going.

You're told to reach 75 villagers. In the meantime, the scrollbar talks about the toolbar. You learn how to do various things. Soon a group of migrants come in to join your town. This gives you 5,000 tribute when they leave, and another 5,000 when they arrive in your town. You get 5,000 when you reach your population target.

Next, build yourself an armory, even though it increases your evil level a bit. Use the flag to build a platoon. You'll learn about a platoon's type, rank, flags, and more. You can take over towns either by drawing them in (by building a nice civilization) or by taking them over with an army. You are now at "the time to choose" - on how you take over the towns.
