In essence this entire long mission is just about repairing a broken phone wire. It's still in Stalingrad, Dec 8 1942. It's -30c and snowing.

Work your way down the wire - run across the street to a doorway with the first break shown nicely in gold. Lay down it and fix it. You get a checkpoint, and a note that there are 5 breaks remaining

Slink forward on your belly, and shoot the guys amongst the furniture. It's easier if you go up around on the left side and shoot from there. Fight your way into the buildings and clear out enemies

Move forwards towards machine gun area - hand grenade it - checkpoint. There's another break right in front of it - checkpoint. Go right into the building - there's a tons of grenades in here. Get into the inner room - checkpoint.

Note that it's rare to get more smoke grenades so save those. Now shoot the guys by the barrels. Work up the stairs on the right, to break point. There are only 2 remaining now. There's one up by the window - fix it - checkpoint

Fight into the marked building for the final one, this is a rough fight so go slowly. When you're done, checkpoint. You're told you have to use the radio. You're in for a long fight down a hallway to get to a chicken wire area. Use a grenade to take out the guys there. Now go into the room with the radio. Be sure to grab the sticky bombs. A communication says panzers are coming.

Fight your way through the panzer situation. Again, you are going area by area being very careful to stay in cover. There are a lot of guys rushing you here. Use smoke grenades if you've saved any. Get to the tank under cover and put bombs on it. It takes a while to blow up. checkpoint.

Note you can't go over the hump at the end of the street. Instead, take a right hand turn under the arch. Fight your way through using smoke. Midway you get a checkpoint. You'll see a tank to the right and one far ahead. Work on right one first. Use grenades and smoke. Then move on to the second one, then the third one. Save a smoke grenade for this one as it's really nasty. It's back in a corner and you can't get around behind it.
