Diablo 2
Act 2: Map
The areas in Act 2 are:
Main Town
Rocky Waste comes next, with dung soldiers, sand leapers, huntresses, and jugs and urns about. There are slingers that hunt with spears.
--> in the Rocky Waste is the Stony Tomb, a 2-level dungeon with horros and burning dead mages. The second level has good sized rooms stuffed full of baddies.
Dry Hills, with undead scavengers and annoying cave leapers and saber cats.
--> in the Dry Hills are the Halls of the Dead, with Hollow Ones. Be sure to kill these - they ressurect the undead! Wade through any undead to kill these guys - you'll see black stars coming at you if they're around. The blue chest on Level 3 has the Horadric Cube.
Far Oasis, with death beetles and clouds of flies called itchies. Also sand maggots that lay eggs.
--> in the Far Oasis is the Maggot Lair, with nasty little tunnels full of black locusts and sand maggots and rock worms. There are 3 levels of the Maggot Lair, with the Staff of Kings found at the bottom of it.
Lost City, where all goes dark. Plague bearers, night slinger, and a waypoint near the end.
--> in the Lost City area is a trap door leading to the Ancient Tunnels. These have invaders and horror mages. It's only one level, with a chest at the end full of goodies.
Valley of the Snakes, a TEENY little map area which just has the Claw Viper Temple in it.
Now you go back into town and start inside the palace. This gets you to, in order:
- Harem Level 1 & 2
- Palace Cellar 1 - 3
- Arcane Sanctuary
- Portal to Canyon of the Magi
- Tomb of Tal Rasha
Note that each tomb has symbols right outside it. Look for the one that has the symbol inscribed in Quest #6 (you get it by reading the journal near the Arcane Sanctuary).
