Dungeon Keeper 2 Walkthrough: Smash/Woodsong: 10
UPDATE!!! You get OVER 3 HOURS if you get the patch for Dungeon
Keeper 2. They realized, I guess, that this was TRULY NASTY without the
patch. Read my Update Feature on
how to get the patch.
OK. First off, you have to build your rooms quickly. I did a lair west,
training room north, treasure room east, hatchery south. Build little rooms
quickly, to get monsters going, then expand them. Add your library & workshop.
Don't build out too far - there are open areas on all sides (but your "safe" south)
and enemies are in vast quantities out there! One main aim is to keep your
guys safe while they train up.
By around 23:00 you should have your base set, and have reached the gems to the
east that provide solid payments. Enemies will break in on the left - kill them,
and put a SOLID door there plus three cannons. You'll get a second wave, and the
cannons should pretty much kill them off. So far, so good. Drill straight north
from your heart to get the second portal, and put a door to the north of that
portal to keep the nasties out. More cannons up there.
OK, at this point your base should be pretty safe. Now to go after the enemy.
Your warlocks should be fully researched out and should be training along with
your other forces. Build a bridge from north of your portal straight east, then
north until it hits the cross-bridge. Drop a few imps to take over that bridge.
Then QUICKLY keep bridge, building all the way up to the enemy territory to the
far north. Stage 2 done.
Now drop all of your guys on that spot, and some imps. The imps will start to take
over territory. Make yourself a lair and hatchery quickly, to keep your guys from
going back through the death area to their original home, and move them northwards.
You should have enough time to get up to the north, break easily through the wall
there, and take over the heart!!
It's not easy, but it's possible :)
