OK, teleport to Witchwood. Go in to the stones. First you meet 2 guards, then a guy shows up saying a balverine has his wife. It's a trap - the 2 guards come help with the fight. The peasant guy says he was blackmailed, you get a resurrection phial. +60 good +100 rep

Back to the temple, give 2000g - it only says "your rewards will be slight". These guys are greedy! Head on to witchwood lake. On to Knothole Glade

First, kill the balverines outside the gate. The guard says OK he'll let you in. There's a cullis gate here.

There's of course a white balverine. It runs down the hill, chase it. You get a cut scene, and are told of the wife of a hunter who lives on top of the hill. Go up hill to the house with its door open. She says she didn't want to hurt him - it's her husband. He was bitten by a balverine. Silver weapons will hurt him, and she gives you a silver augmentation. Aattack it again - it runs off. You learn it lives by Witchwood lake and to come back with its pelt for a reward.

There's a demon gate there. Go on to the lake. OK time for the big battle. Each time you take off a quarter of his health, he will call for balverine help. Just whack away to wear him down and slay him. I like long distance magic or arrows because their leaps are deadly. There's a chest with a flame augmentation. Note that you don't need to use the silver to win. When he's dead, you get the head.

Return to the glade and talk to the chief. He says he will give you a nomination for the arena. Also you were sent a letter from your sister. You get Theresa's letter. You also get the bloodline book.
