Get yourself out to Knothole Glade. A guy says the villagers are holding his boss captive and plan hang him. The bandits will raze the town if they don't get their boss back. Of course, the chief won't let him go. The bandit is under guard up the hill. You have to go get rid of his bandit friends. The chief is going to hide in his hut.

OK, first talk to the guard to open the gate. If you've made boasts, he knows about them and they're handled automatically. For example in our case he knows our boast was about doing it on our own. All you do for this quest is stand in the doorway and keep the bandits from going through. Luckily for you, they don't all gang up on you so it isn't too bad. There's just about 5 of them. When you are done, everyone claps.

While you're here, try the archery game. It only costs 10g for the archery contest. You get 60 seconds to shoot the targets. The moving targets are worth more, but be sure to stay in the circle. There's no using magic, and no shooting him either.

50 points is not good enough. However at 232 you are a winner with a new record. You earn treasure clue 4.

Note that the back right target is best for the highest scoring. You get a silver arrow trophy for 240 and 100 renown. At 388 you get a ruby and 100 renown.
