MAFIA Walkthrough
An Offer You Can't Refuse

Beginning missions are always simple to help you learn how the game works. This is no exception.

It's autumn 1930 in this "flashback" - the entire story is being told as flashbacks. At this point in your life, you are a taxi driver, sitting and waiting for a fare. You hear shots and a crash - and suddenly some mob guys run around the corner and say 'drive us out of here'.

Your task is to lose the following car. Note that the load times are VERY long. It can't be fixed. Just get a glass of wine, some cheese, and use the time to rest and relax. Chianti works well :)

OK, to lose the guy, just go around the square block until you're on the opposite side from the chaser. Then just run straight when you are clear and you'll be free.

Now you have to go to Salieri's bar. Pull up the map and you'll see a blue x on the map, located in Little Italy. There's also a little compass thing in the top left of your main screen. Note that the compass is a direct pointer, so it's not always good about bridges etc.

Be sure to stop for red lights and not speed, so you don't get pulled over. The clock shows the time limit for the mission, so don't dawdle either.

When you get there, they slow-mo the final scene to give you some stress, but it works out well. You get paid and leave.
