Metal Gear Solid 4 Walkthrough
Act 4 - Twin Suns At the Snowfield

Now you're in the snowfield, Get all the stuff around the area - check the storage room for an SVD and some ammo - then head north. Now you're fighting Crying Wolf and her escort unit of FROGs. The snowstorm is pretty much impenetrable, so nightvision is a must here. Hide under the truck and pick off the FROGs. Eventually, Crying Wolf will rampage through the area. Shoot her with a heavy-hitting weapon, preferably a sniper rifle. The Solid Eye shows the direction that your sound is being carried by the wind, represented by the weird egg-shape around your "dot".

To deal with Crying Wolf, first take out all the FROGs in the area (a rough guess is fine too) and then take off your face camo. As shown in the cutscene, Crying Wolf uses nightvision too, so your head will stick out. Stay on watch and look for her giant signature on the Solid Eye. When she sees you'll she'll open her chassis up to fire the railgun at you. That's your chance to hit her actual body with a sniper round. This fight works fine lethally or non-lethally (using the Mosin Nagant), so stay low and it shouldn't be that hard. Don't forget to watch for the dots on your radar that represent the FROGs, too. I managed to win the battle staying under the truck the entire time, as long as you keep watching for the signs that she's there to conserve your battery power. If you're using tranqs on the FROGs, remember that they'll wake up and you'll have to put them back down every so often. Stay low and this fight should be reasonably simple.

For the Beauty section, her doll will be behind the area where you start, between two doors. You'll pick up her railgun. After the cutscenes, head forward and pick up "The Best is Yet To Come" for your iPod (it's the song you heard at the Heliport). Head forward.

This area is full of Scarabs. Watch their lasers and move forward. Move to the left across the catwalk and shimmy north using the ledge. Crawl down the stairs slowly, watching where the Scarabs are moving and what directions they look in. If you have any chaff grenades left, you can make this part much easier by throwing one and running for the objective at any point. On the first landing (once you go down the first set of stairs), the scarab's route looks toward the base of the stairs, then parallel to the stairs, and then he rolls away to the catwalk. When he's rolling away, crawl forward. The next group includes one scarab on the wall and two scarabs on patrol. The ones on patrol will scan the bottom set of stairs, so observe them from the higher set. Time it so that the patrol is rolling away and the wall scarab is looking away, then crawl over to the door. Quickly crawl back up the stairs once it turns out you can't go that way.

Now you need to head south (left on your map). Head all the way up the stairs, then drop over the railing onto the south side. Watch the lasers on the ground floor, then drop again. Disable the enemies near the elevator before you drop down, then hit the elevator button. Wait for it to come, then go in and hit B5. You come out behind a Gekko. Move up to the block next to it and blend in. After it moves on, move forward and evade the laser of the Scarab on the wall. If the Gekko comes around, press against the wall on the left side. Move to forward and to the left once the coast is clear. Move through the tunnel and press against the boxes ahead of you. Use the Solid Eye to watch the direction that the Gekkos are looking. Be mindful of the Scarabs on standby ahead of you and don't disturb them. Move right at the sleeping scarabs and go up next to the conveyor belt. Lie down to avoid the patrols of Scarabs. Crawl up onto the conveyor belt when no one is looking. Grab the Javelin that's under the machine on the belt. Crawl slowly forward along the belt. Watch out for the Gekko on your right. When you've reached the northern edge, wait for the Gekko to turn away and move right. There's another setup of one scarab on the wall and multiple scarabs patrolling. Move quickly; at this range, you can't linger on the conveyor belt, or the Gekko will spot you. Move down and lie down next to the conveyor belt. Wait for the scarabs to clear away and then move forward. Head down the ladder and move on.
