Myst IV Revelation Walkthrough
Radio Signals - More Help

OK, so again you have two waves on the left. Your aim is to alter EACH of these two waves until the sum of those two waves equals the wave on the right side of the screen. Look at this image:

You slide the lever on the LEFT to the left or right to indicate which of the two waves you're working with at the moment. Slide it left, you work with one wave. Slide it right, you work with the other wave. Your aim is to "create" the wave on the right by altering the two waves on the left so they interact with each other to form that wave.

Atreus gives you random hints which often seem to be quite the opposite of what you want to do. He keeps yelling out things like "STOP! The amplitude was fine!". It's usually easier to ignore him and just work with the waves, but if you just can't do it, then follow his instructions. He'll take the long, long way around but will eventually get there.

Your three wave modifiers are:

left dial - amplitude / volume
middle dial - frequency / speed
right dial - phase / left-right slide

Remember these dials only affect your SELECTED source wave on the left side of the screen. You choose which of the 2 waves you're playing with by moving that slider left or right.

The photo is of the exact wave sets needed for the second of the two rounds you do with this game. So you fiddle with the red wave until it looks like indicated, then you fiddle with the green wave to get it to match the green wave shown. That will create the blue wave on the right. I'll post the photo of the first one soon. Unfortunately as soon as you get it, it vanishes, so I have to get a picture just before it matches perfectly.
