Myst IV Revelation Walkthrough
Getting To the Two Books

OK, when you wake up, climb up the fallen stair. Go back to the elevator and ride it to the lowest floor. You'll end up before a lovely door set with a green/brown color wheel on the grond. Go in. You're at the bedroom area, with a bed and big painting. The painting shows the mom, dad and two boys. It's over a fireplace.

The desk talks about the fireplace, how you have to turn on the two lamps, which turn on the two opposite lasers within the fireplace. A letter on the side of the bed says:

My love, we must be united in this. Can you find it in your heart to lisen and forgive? For I cannot be strong in this alone.

OK, touch the top of both lamps to turn them on, then go into the fireplace. Click the button above the exit to lower the panel and view the grid. Your aim here is to turn on all squares that have laser dots on them. Clicking on any cube lights up the cubes to the north, south, east and west of it but NOT the one you clicked on. Yeesha's necklace is in here, and you automatically pick it up. When you have the necklace and look at the grid, it flashes. Click on the necklace to see the video of her running and dropping her necklace.

Really, just sit and look at the pattern for a moment. It's pretty much done right there in simple squares. Consider the rows top to bottom to be the letters A to F (A is the top row). Now consider the columns to be numbered 1-8 left to right (1 is the leftmost column). You want to click spots:

B2, E1, F6, E8, C6, D4, C4

POOF you get to a new spot. Pull the lever and go in. Turn the lever by the blue book and the books both open up. Now you can get to the two prison worlds - the blue and red worlds.
