The entrance to the Fortress of Regrets is the room you start out in, over by the arches. Stock up, sell everything, and head there. Regret all that your companions suffered for 250,000xp and then talk to Dak'kon about various things, Morte about various things, etc. Gather up all healing and special items on your own body, because you'll be split up once you enter. Enter the portal.

You're now at the Fortress of Regrets, on the Negative Material Plane. Go west and south to meet Deionarra - she says the shadows are shades of those who died for you. Avoid the shadows. Tell her you have her ring still (hopefully you do, right??).

Go east into the room. This is all a race vs the shadows, so be prepared. You see in the pool Ingus talking to your mortality - The Transcendant One. Here is how you survive.

Pull the lever on the cannon in this room. Dak'kon video. Zap north. Run south to the clock with your note on it. Pull the lever there. Falls from Grace video. zap northwest. Run just a bit south here, pull the lever. Annah video. Zap west, run all the way east, pull the lever. Nothing happens - a portal opens. The portal is to the far east. Enter.

Now you find a sounding stone, with a message for the others. There are supplies under the southwest statue. You have to kill Ingus, then enter the crystal.

You are in with other versions of yourself. Talk to Mr Practical first, and learn what he did and did not do, about the sphere, etc. You get 96,000xp for the sphere. Talk to Good and tell him it was worth it. Turns out he did a lot of evil - he was the first "you" - and he wanted to become immortal to have time to fix everything he'd done. You get 96,000xp, then 32,000 and he merges with you, increasing your wisdom. Now talk to the Paranoid guy. Tell him he suffered much, he merges for 64,000xp, plus strength and plus constitution.

Now talk to the practical guy, make him merge with you for 96,000xp and increases in intelligence and wisdom.

Deionarra comes - tell her why she had to die, and touch her to meet your mortality. You go to the roof with your dead buddies, and your mortality comes. Tell him about the golumn, and Deionarra, and the shadows, and show him your blade. He'll join with you, and resurrect all of your friends. The end of the game is you going to the Blood War, to try to stop the fighting.

Note that if you try to resurrect one person, he attacks, and it ends with you and Deionarra sitting sadly together. None of the other endings you can choose seem very satisfying, although I wasn't really satisfied with him going off to war either ...
