Drive up to the blue spot - but immediately bad guys show up. You now have to just bail, with three crosses, and head back to the church. Don't bother trying to kill Victor - he is pretty much indestructable. Drive off quickly and head on back to the church.

It makes you "lose them" first but really if you just drive quickly to the church it happens by default. Drive into the blue spot, and you are set.
