Syberia Walkthrough:
The Church
Before you get to the church, Dan calls (your boyfriend/husband) to say you must come back for dinner tomorrow at the Goldberg's, it's worth millions of dollars. He doesn't seem to care about you or what you're doing, just his money and that you "look good". Lovely.
Head all the way down the other end of the street, over the bridge and up to the church. Go past the church to the right, to the very end where there's a door. Go in. Behind the altar there's a crucifix - turn it to get a key. Now go over to the chest.
Put the key into the top right corner. Now the drawers open. Get the four organ cards from the top, second, fourth and fifth drawers. Pull the middle drawer out, then turn the spinner on the right side to reveal the secret area. Grab the key and note there. You learn that indeed Hans was never dead.
OK, head out and back to the first door you passed on your way to the back door. There's a nook to its right with gear spots. You can't even put the gears into the wrong locations!! Some puzzle. Just stick the four gears from the inn into their spots and you can go up the elevator.
Note that once you put the right card into the organ, ALL of them vanish!! So be sure to enjoy the others first. They are:
red: silent night
blue: bridal march
green: ding dong
purple: full tolling, reveals the key on the grave
OK head down and now go over to the left of the church. There's a grave there with a key in a hat. Use the key from the priest's drawer. Go in and down, and pull out the coffin. You get a voice-recording cylinder and a newspaper clipping. Then you just walk out, leaving it open?? That's not very nice.
