Of course, nothing is ever easy in this game. You get to the monestary but they won't send an elevator down to you. So you go past the elevator and meet up with a monk by the water who is bordering on insane. You have to go through some of the longest conversations known to mankind to get any information out of him. You finally find out that he is obsessed with the white raven, and that females are forbidden to enter the monestary.

Get ready for more walking. You have to walk all the way back to the general store just to get 3 bird whistles - a gold, silver and black one. Then you have to walk all the way back to the monestary again!!
