A bit part of this tutorial is to learn how to hit your opponent off balance, then throw him up in the air. This is a GREAT technique because you can then just keep hitting him without being hit back.

If you get off balance, like in real life, you're in danger. You have to react quickly and dodge. To do so, press the directional button in the which way you want to dodge.

You can counterattack right after a dodge

To parry, watch for opponent's push and then push stick in opposite direction to have him fall. then attack.
