NOTE: I only realized long after I played XIII that I never got the full walkthrough written up. These are my raw notes on this level - but I'm afraid I don't remember more details to fill it in or make it more coherent. I hope it still helps! Now you can see what my raw note taking on my laptop while I play is like :)

cancel base's self destruct

go to big red room. 2 minute timer. in center elevator hit handle to start going. get hook ready and hook when ready. swing across to other side. run forward and right with gun. at sliding door go left get medkit. left again get more ammo but you should be full. vest etc. helmet on table. back out to bathroom. shoot map. forward down tunnel.

blast down at end and drop down. "This is not good" don't touch bomb. up stairs and pick lock. "Destruction dsequence initiated. pick lock on left then shoot padlock on grate door. Open door and blast away at the 3 things on left then 2 in front 3 in front and final main one.

destruction sequence cancelled.

get back to exit.

left out lever to open blast door

right into kitchen. go into right door and checkpoint. left to missile room. go down ladder on right. Long ladder.

final fight with mongoose. hide behind a missile and pick him off around edges. blast missiles to blast him with radiation. at 1/3rd down the center missile drops and bodies drop from teh sky dropping you ammo and health kits. grenade him a ton. More bodies at 2/3rd down. at 1/4th down more missiles vanish. finally you blast him adn down he falls.

"this way" yells jones. still have health kits left now. let's evac now. follow her out door. sheridan and general are there and happy. ===================================================================
