The annversary of the loss of a loved one can be more devastating than the death itself. There are things that trigger it, that you may not be consciously aware of. For instance, if you lost someone near Christmas, the holiday can make you sad. But why are you sad in September? Because the media and marketing folks are already advertising it.

Many people have questions about death, dying, grief, sadness, depression. It's not something we speak of openly in our culture. The bereavement forum is a safe place to ask anonymously. Not only will you get an answer personally if you click on "Contact Editor", but a full length feature article may be written so we can all learn.

Whether or not you are part of a faith community, you are welcome to the grief support groups offered there. Check them out. If you need encouragement to go, write the Editor! We'll all get through this together. You are not alone. You're just a few clicks away from a support community. Glad to have you.
