June 17 2006 Genealogy Newsletter

Hi.. I just returned home from a week long genealogical conference in Birmingham, AL at Samford University. I learned so much; future articles will be based on the resources I learned. The campus is so beautiful and the weather could not have been better. [Although my ankles weren't too happy with all the walking and sitting, :-)]

If anyone wants to learn more in the field of genealogy, no matter what their level, Samford's genealogy conference is a must. It is held annually in June.

I am really excited about this weeks articles. I want to share a letter I received (with permission, of course), it was very inspiring, not to mention educational:

I am a member of the TN Genealogical Society. For any of you with TN ancestors, this might be the Society you wish to join. Check out them out:

Do you have a story to tell?

I am also continuing with our Disease Terminology H-L:

I would love to hear from you in the Genealogy Forum! We have a reader looking for Canadian researchers. Also, I am still hoping for a miracle on my Fralick/Fralic lines! Got a surname you'd like me to mention, just email me!

Hope everyone is having a great summer. I am off to Dallas, TX next weekend! Til next week,
