December 2 2006 LDS Newsletter

Christmas time has finally come. It is my most favorite time of year, with twinkling lights and the chubby-cheeked faces of children all aglow with expectation. I'll never forget a picture my parents took of me as a four year old. Yep, there were those chubby cheeks, and yep, definitely the excited look in my eyes as I gazed up at the Christmas tree with it's myriad of plump (now old-fashioned) Christmas lights.

This week's article is a review of several perfect stocking stuffers for the loved ones in your life.

But there is more to Christmas than just the gifts we give or receive. So here is link to an article I wrote a few weeks back, that I've now titled, "Christmas Time Compassionate Service." Truly the best gift we can give this Christmas is that of ourselves and service.

Over the next few weeks, I'll be posting other gift-giving suggestions of items that have brought my family joy. I hope you'll enjoy the ideas. I don't earn any money from the suggestions; rather, they are simply things that have brought comfort, hope, or uplift to me and my family. I'm excited to share them with you.

Oh, and guess what? For one day only (today, December 2), my book is being offered at 30% off. You simply type in the coupon code "Christmas" to receive that final discount! Here is the link to more about my book and how to get the discount! It's the perfect gift for parents of teenagers, seminary teachers, and other youth leaders in the ward!

May you have a beautiful week this week as we move into this most special of holiday seasons, Christmas time, when we celebrate the birth of the Redeemer of this world.
