EDITOR RECOMMENDED BOOK
The Gift, by Danielle Steel
If you're familiar with Steel's works, you'll know that her books aren't particularly literary works but are rather geared towards mainstream fiction, with story lines that will take you on wild emotional roller coasters. Still, I love her books, -some, not quite all- and I have to say that The Gift is one of my favorites. Quite short and not as descriptive as some of her other works, this little book takes you on an emotional high, and low, and high...the plot is brilliant, the emotions she evokes in the reader is like no other, and I think any fiction lover (of any genre) should get to read this one. Not to reveal too much, the story is simply about heartbreak, forgiveness, redemption, hope...all in less than 200 pages. Look it up at your local library, or you can get it for cheap on eBay or Amazon. You will not be disappointed, it's a promise!
EDITOR RANDOM FUN ACTIVITY
Cook something special this week. Make your favorite meal, your spouse's or kids', or that of any loved one that you may be residing with, and take your time doing it. Show them how much you love and appreciate them by putting in a lot of effort in preparing that meal...and if it's just you, then treat yourself to a really good and healthy dish, because you deserve it, and because you also need to take a break from all the dinner-out evenings, fast-foods, can meals, and other 'junk' foods. So do it. This week. And enjoy it!
