August 31 2016 Museums Newsletter
I apologize for my nearly year long absence from my responsibilities at BellaOnline. Life has been....interesting.
Since my last article was published, I wrote a book (forthcoming in November -- Interpreting Anniversaries and Milestones at Museums and Historic Sites), I have started teaching online museum courses, and I have continued to teach in the classroom as well as maintain my full time job as a museum curator.
In short, I have been BUSY.
But fall is a time to rekindle intellectual pursuits, and I am recommitting myself to my role as BellaOnline's Museums Editor.
I hope you are out there enjoying all the museums in your communities. Let me know in the forum where you have been and what you loved/hated about your visits! Those conversations always spark article ideas.
For now, here is the link to my latest article, the first in a series about who visits museums and why.
All my best,
Here's the latest article from the Museums site at BellaOnline.com.
Why Do People Visit Museums?
There are many different reasons to visit a museum. Understanding why people choose to go to a museum can help boost attendance and allocate limited marketing resources.
Please visit Museums.bellaonline.com for even more great content about Museums.
To participate in free, fun online discussions, this site has a community forum all about Museums located here -
I hope to hear from you sometime soon, either in the forum or in response to this email message. I thrive on your feedback!
Have fun passing this message along to family and friends, because we all love free knowledge!
