Quilting Newsletter

February 25 2009 Quilting Newsletter

Hello everyone, another Wednesday has arrived which means I pop in for a quick chat. Hope all’s well with you all. It’s almost the change of seasons for us all, some going into Spring, and some going into Fall or Autumn as we call it in my neck of the woods.

I’ve been working away this week, getting some articles written ready to be posted on the Bellaonline Quilting site over the next few weeks. I’m always looking for interesting subjects and items to present to you. I value enormously your input into the content of the articles on this site. I often receive emails with suggestions from readers for subjects to be explored. Please don’t hesitate to give me your suggestions for articles in the future. I’m open to any suggestions (quilting suggestions of course!!).

I’m getting very close to finishing the “leaf” quilt, with just one more corner to finish, and about 20 more 4” star blocks to piece. I made the big mistake of counting the amount of leaves and berries on this quilt and I came up with 734 leaves and 120 berries. I’m sure I’ve over calculated, and will wait till I’ve completed it before I count them again!!

I wrote an article on Quilt Guilds, and how you can contribute to them, and posted it on the site last Sunday. I hope you find it interesting to read.

The forum is buzzing along – have you looked at the subject I posted a few weeks ago about how we can go about helping the victims of the bushfires in Australia. Pop to the link to add your comments. Here’s the link:

Now to my gift for this week. I came across this beautiful FREE BOM from Bunny Hill Designs. It’s simply gorgeous and is being posted this year, January and February have been posted already. I’d love to see your final creations if you decide to take this up. Here’s the link:

Well, dear quilters, I’m heading out to do the shopping. I hope this newsletter finds you all feeling well and happy and busy busy busy creating those wonderful quilts.

Cheerio for now,
