Good Day to all, I’m here to bring another Quilters Quarters newsletter to your screen. I do hope this correspondence finds you all well and with a little time to spare to have a quick read and perhaps a quick browse of the goodies I have for you this week.
It’s hard to believe that we’re into April already – and Easter for those who celebrate, is just around the corner. How things have changed from the Easter celebrations we enjoyed as children. I lived in Canberra (the nation’s capital city) during my childhood, and April was always the onset of windy cold weather that would continue right through till November. My mother would make golden syrup dumplings for dessert to herald the beginning of the cold weather.
My three sisters and I would each receive one (1) medium sized egg, and the four of us girls would have a competition to see who could make their egg last the longest. I never won that competition. I was and still am an “eat it now” kinda girl.
Last week I posted a review on a lovely quilt book titled Strip Savvy published by Martingale. Here’s the link for your interest: http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art182986.asp
