Hello again, its mid week again, time for me to say hello. I’ve finally shrugged off the lurgy that was affecting me over the past few weeks and I’m feeling ready to get on with it. The weather has been beautiful here this week, and I’ve made the most of it and washed a number of quilts. Those quilts that wouldn’t dry I’ve just hung on the line so the clean autumn air can give them a freshen up. It’s lovely seeing quilts hanging on your line. I only wish my clothes line was situated where others could see it.
I think that’s why events such as quilt airings and fence hangings are so popular. Beautiful quilts hanging on everyday fixtures really make your heart sing! I have a number of quilts hanging on my walls at home. I think it helps to soften the blank walls, and of course it’s a chance to enjoy my hard work! Sure they get dusty, but a day in the fresh air makes the world of difference.
Being the editor of a quilting site enables me to receive complimentary copies of publications and DVD’s to review for my readers. I endeavour to give honest feedback about what I’m reviewing. I recently reviewed a DVD titled The Art of Machine Quilting and it’s by Barbara Shapel on the NinePatch Media group. Here’s a link to that review – I thoroughly recommend this DVD, it’s one of the better ones I’ve seen. http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art176305.asp
Don’t forget the forum is there for readers to contribute, ask questions or just browse through. Here’s the link to the forums: http://forums.bellaonline.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=postlist&Board=43
