Knock Knock, who’s there? It’s Judie B popping in to say hello and have a little catch up. It’s is a beautiful spring day here today, a bit of smoke smog is hanging in the air as the authorities do some planned burning off around the ridges, in preparation for the hot summer weather.

We live near a bushland area and we are happy to know that the undergrowth is being kept to a minimum. You might remember we had massive floods eighteen months ago, and last summer was a very wet one also, so there has been a huge build up of forest fuel over that time.

But, Spring here also brings lots and lots of quilt shows and I was very fortunate to attend one last Saturday with the lovely Sunshine Linus ladies from the coast. They hired a bus and travelled the hour or so to Brissy and I met them at the show. We had a ball – there was lots to see and do, and of course some vendors with lots of goodies to look over. The organisation was terrific and the food scrummy. I’ve elaborated on my blog – here’s the link if you’d like to see what went on: http://whenlifehandsyouscraps.blogspot.com.au/

Last Sunday I posted an article after a request from a reader. It covers the topic of how to prepare your quilt in readiness for commercial long arm quilting. Here’s the link: http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art177914.asp

Lots of chat on the forum about present making for this xmas. Pop over and have your say. Here’s the link: http://forums.bellaonline.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=postlist&Board=43
