Greetings from the Land of OZ!
This year, I am trying to get ahead of that Thanksgiving rush. I wanted to get useful info out to you well ahead of that busy, busy time. This article has a lot of great info!
Last weekend, I took a small road trip to see my youngest son. I had planned to cook a turkey in the Nesco roaster. Well, with the road trip, I just didn't have all day to mess with that turkey. I spatchcocked it. What's that? Spatchcocking a turkey is a slick way to cook a 13 pound bird in under two hours. Yep, less than two hours! I have a short explanation and a link that tells how to do it in the article. There is also a yummy recipe to use that leftover turkey. It just flew out of the refrigerator and onto those sandwich thins! We loved it!
Avocado Turkey Sandwich Recipe
After the turkey dinner and sliced turkey sandwiches are over, what can you do? For those little bits and pieces, nothing is quite like turkey salad! This salad strays away from the traditional recipe. Part of the mayonnaise is replaced with the rich goodness of avocado. It is simply yummy!
