September 21 2007 Sewing Newsletter

Autumn occurs generally from September 21 to December 21. The bright goldenrod and asters, the glittering gold of fall aspen leaves, and the astounding colors of the maple trees revealing their brilliant red colors remind us all of the end of warm summer days and the hint of cool crisp air to come. The colors of autumn call to us and surely influence our sewing this time of year.

The Quiet Time
The forest floor slumbers beneath a fresh blanket of leaves. Above, naked branches criss-cross the dull autumn sky as the first numbing wind of winter moves across the state. The stream at the bottom of the gully runs silently, swiftly to the distant spring.
