I am a big fan of the Eurovision song contest and the countries across Europe are in the process of selecting their entrants to represent them at the contest in May this year. It is all very exciting!
This week I heard the sad, yet inspirational story of a young Somali man who fled the civil war in Somali with his mother. They settled in Norway and after a tragic few years he is hoping to represent Norway in the Eurovision song contest:

Mo Abdi Farah – Somali Singer in Norway
Mohamed "Mo" Abdi Farah was born in a war torn Somalia. His mother fled with her seven year old son to set up a safe life in Norway. Here Mo became a shining star of the stage and may even represent Norway at the Eurovision song contest in 2014.
