As we approach the end of the year, many people celebrate holidays of one sort or another. For me, its Christmas, and along with that, strangely enough, the winter solstice. Why the latter? Because that marks the date when we begin gaining daylight again, rather than losing it. And that’s a good thing to look forward to on these short winter days and long cold nights.
