Baha'i

April 17 2011 Baha'i Newsletter

We are back from California, funerals went very well, and family is on the road to recovery. They are going to have bad moments, maybe even bad days, for a while, but I was very impressed by their spiritual understanding and the strength of their family ties. Losing a child has got to be the worst pain I know. My husband and I will be moving out to live near them for a while to help with their business and whatever else needs doing.

Meanwhile, it is the Spring season--so in Michigan naturally we are have gusting winds blowing the daffodils and snow flurries in the air!--and for Bahá'ís, the Ridván Festival. It is definitely a time of renewal and reinvigoration, so that fact that I am busy packing to move to a new town and a new home just seems to fit right in.

Here's the latest article from the Baha'i site at BellaOnline.com.

Bahá'í Ridván Festival
The Ridván Festival is a twelve day celebration of the beginning of the Bahá'í Faith, observed from sunset April 20 through sunset May 2. It is also the time of year when local and National Spiritual Assemblies are elected all over the world.
