Hi everyone,
Hope you're doing well this week. I was inspired to write this article when I opened an envelope and saw that I only owe $56 after disputing a $250 charge for a procedure that is only a $20 co-pay! During a relative's visit over the summer, she helped me to realize that I was being charged for medical expenses that were suppose to be taken care of by my insurance company. After reseaching each of the bills, I was overcharged on 4 of the 5 medical bills that I received this year. In the end, I saved over $500 on unnecessary charges due to errors and procedures not followed.
I hope you are able to use this information based on my personal experiences. As we all know, every little bit helps.
Enjoy,
Veronica
