This is the time of the year that our thoughts turn indoors and toward the comfort of home. Few things speak of the comforts of home better than home-made bread, and Irish Oatmeal Bread is a sure it's very good for you. Make this bread once and you'll be making it again and again!

Irish Oatmeal Bread
While both steel-cut and quick cooking oats are suitable for making muffins, bread, cookies and cakes, adding steel-cut oats give baked goods an extra chewy, nutty, flavor. Experimental cooks might try adding raisins, chopped dates, and perhaps nuts to embellish future loaves.
