August 2 2007 Native American Newsletter

Happy August Everyone!

I have a lot of news to catch you up on today, so much going on! Coming up on August 8 - 12 is the Intertribal Indian Ceremonial in Gallup, NM, at Red Rock State Park on the Navajo Reservation. I will be attending this event, and will be writing an article on it in a couple of weeks, so stay tuned!

This week's article begins the guest author series for the Santa Fe Indian Market coming up on August 18 & 19. I will also be attending this event, to meet the authors I am writing you about now, and to see all the wonderful artwork this show features. I will write an article on this event also, so that you can experience it along with me. This week's guest author is Robert Bauver, who wrote "Navajo and Pueblo Earrings 1850 - 1945", an excellent book. Read the article to find out more. Go to the Native American site at to view it:

Indian Market Guest Author Series
As a prelude to this year’s Santa Fe Indian Market, we begin the guest author series with details on an award-winning book entitled Navajo and Pueblo Earrings 1850 – 1945: Collected by Robert V. Gallegos, and its accomplished author, Robert Bauver, who will be doing a book signing at Indian Market.

Next week I will feature yet one more author who will be signing books at Indian Market, for a book I really enjoyed. I can't wait to share it with you! Sometime between now and then, I am going to be bringing you a bonus article, on yet one more important book that I want to tell you about. It will be available on the Native American homepage sometime in the next few days. Stop by to check it out, or I will remind you about it in next week's newsletter.

Don't forget, there's lots more information on the Native American site. Previous articles are archived there, along with many links, stories, and much much more. Stop by and check it out!

In our Native American forum, the welcoming campfire still burns, waiting for you to join us. Stop by some time and roast a few marshmallows with us, and say hello. I look forward to seeing you there!

One more item of business for today: I have initiated a program entitled "Stop the World". To find out more about it, visit our forum. It is in the Welcome to the Campfire thread. I hope you will support this effort.

As always, feel free to write me, make suggestions, comments, send ideas, or just say hello. I love hearing from you!

And don't forget to pass this message or this week's article along to your family and friends, and share the free knowledge!

Until next week,
May all your days be blessed...
