January 29 2007 Organization Newsletter

Greetings from BellaOnline's Organization site!

Though I'm not crazy about the weather, and find myself longing for the longer days ahead, January is one of my favorite months. With the whole year ahead of me, I use these early weeks to think about what I hope the following months will bring, what I want to do differently this year, and what I hope to be able to accomplish. January seems full of possibility, and it inspires me to get around to all of those tasks and projects that slipped through the cracks last year.

One thing I want to achieve this year is a better relationship with my e-mail Inbox. I have a love/hate relationship with all that mail I receive: so much of it is interesting, informative, fun, and useful, but boy, does it start to pile up quickly (much like regular mail)! If, like me, you want to gain more control over the digital mail that’s part of all of our lives, this week's article can help:

Get Your E-mail Under Control
Most of us consider e-mail a necessity these days, but it can still feel overwhelming. If your Inbox is threatening to drive you crazy, use these tips to regain control over your e-mail.

Another great—and timely—task for January is creating or updating a financial organizing system. Having a way to track your bills, income, and spending can make finances much less stressful, and can put you ahead of the game come April 15. Want some ideas on how to implement a system that will work for you? Check out last week's article:

Creating a Financial Organizing System
This year, don't wait until early April to try to get your finances in order. Investing in creating and maintaining a basic financial organizing system that works for you will pay excellent dividends: less stress, more time, and perhaps even more savings.
