November 12 2007 Romance Novels Newsletter

Hello, and welcome back! So far, it looks like October was a better reading month than November is turning out to be, though the new Nora Roberts series kicks off later this month, so we could still have some good books heading our way.

If you haven't stopped by the main site lately, you've missed out on a lot of reviews since the last newsletter went out. The last of the October books were reviewed: One Last Breath, with a really good debut romantic suspense; and No Regrets. Then I dug into the November books: Forecast, another really good debut, though this one has some paranormal elements going on; Remain Silent; Dead of Night; and Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night, which is now my pick of the month for November, because it is terrific! Kresley Cole far outshines a lot of the current stars in the paranormal romance arena.

At the moment, I'm reading a new historical romance, and I've still got a handful of November books on my desk to get to, but it looks like a slow romance month.

It's definitely slow on the publishing news end of things, but that happens every year, as the writers who've been at this a while will attest. There probably won't be much in the way of news until after the new year begins. That just means those of us who don't work in retail have a little time to polish up our latest manuscript and get it ready for mailing in January. And trust me, it's not that far away.

We've been having some interesting discussions over in the forum, and there are several recent polls still ongoing. Also, I've got a nice big box of goodies that will be going up soon for the November giveaway. I hope to see you there.

Until next time, happy reading and writing!
