December 5 2006 Romance Novels Newsletter

Hello, and welcome back! Things here are getting more hectic, between work and other seasonal activities, but I'm still making plenty of reading time.

In fact, I just posted the latest set of reviews, Drop Dead Gorgeous earlier today. I think this is only the third time in 7 years I've handed out all five of Cupid's arrows, but the book in this afternoon's article definitely earned all five of them. There have also been more recent reviews, some I liked a lot and some I didn't: Conspiracy Game, His Dark Kiss, and Rules of Seduction.

I also posted my lastest Pick of the Week earlier over in the forum. In case you can't wait to get over there to take a peek, it's:

Drop Dead Gorgeous Drop Dead Gorgeous by Linda Howard. This one features Blair and Wyatt again, and another psycho after Blair. I'm also going to add this one to my holiday shopping suggestions later today, and you'll find those on the main site as well.

For the romance writers out there, don't address anymore submissions to Christine Zika at Berkley: she's left there to go non-fiction. Also, Sourcebooks is now publishing romance novels. You can find their guidelines and more info on their website.

Our January Book Club choice will be posted over in the forum later this week. The votes are in, and it's going to be romantic suspense. I'll make the title announcement in a few days.

And, until next time, happy reading and writing, and happy holidays, no matter which ones you celebrate!
