The Dance

Seth Jani

The moon opens its palm
To the grieving wind.
The night settles down
And grows damp among the rushes.
Beneath the sky, two bodies,
Tidally locked, spin and glimmer.
The one, a hard stone of the prairie.
The other, a gust of dreaming air.
