Street Rhythm

Billy Manas

I, too, can dream a dream
And cause a scene
An acrobat from beam to beam
Egg shell walking
Murmur talking
Restrain my pen and tongue
I, too, can scream a scream
And fiend a fiend
Iīm sure yīall know what I mean
Losing, winning
Drowning, swimming
Itīs all the same to me
And when I crawl into myself
Not a soul will find me
And when I fix my eyes on truth
Not a man can blind me
I, too, can huff and puff
Get tough enough to hold
Off your resistance
Care to glare
At whatīs out there
Upon your cool insistence
But thatīs what makes me who I am
That makes me unique
You will never be what you have
You are just the sum of what you seek
