There are times
the sun shines just so on a field of snow,
oak and maple shadows stretch like
long skinny fingers across the dunes,
and the afternoon winds dance before dusk,
when you realize you are already in heaven,
even as your heart beats and eyes sparkle, and
wishing for more is a waste of time,
for this moment is a miracle,
as God sits with his arms around you,
once again.
