This episode starts with a celebration party, while everyone thanks him for saving the city twice. Millie is completely drunk! Two prostitutes show up to sleep with Vash but he's "asleep" - really he was trying to get rid of them.

Vash decides to leave on the sandsteamer and everyone is upset. He's happy that he's finally on his own again. He's asked to guard the train in the Badlands Canyon for extra money and refuses. In the bathroom, an orphan stowaway bashes him on the head with a vent. The orphan lies but Vash believes him.

The insurance girls are working in the snack bar to pay their passage. He thinks they're both smart - the "big one is exceptionally scary - my only salvation is she doesn't know how smart she is". The cat's on a calendar in the back!

Vash has agreed to guard the train in return for a room so he can feed the stowaway. Turns out the stowaway poisoned him and runs goes off. He waves a signal light and the bandits attack. Neon lands on the train and thanks the kid.

Back to Vash - he's dreaming of a song by a woman with long hair named Rim. The bad guys are threatening the people - the cat is by the casino table. Neon can't get into the giant safe - he plans on bashing the train to open it.

The kid is brought to the engine and is told Neon is planning on breaking the sandsteamer, and is very upset about it. Neon beats up on him. The kid says the ship belongs to his dad. Just as Neon is planning on killing the kid, Vash bursts in to rescue him. The two cling on the outer shell and climb up to safety. Meanwhile, Neon forces the captain to speed up the train because Millie is being threatened.

End of episode!! Quite the cliffhanger :)
