New Age Shop

Here are some of my favourite New Age books, films and card packs reviewed. Great reading for you, great presents for a spirtitual friend or relative too!

Rock and Gem
I've just purchased a fantastic book on rocks and minerals called simply 'Rock and Gem'. The book comes from Dorling Kindersley, who have a name for superbly clear and beautiful photography; this book is no exception. It is a sumptuously illustrated and satisfyingly comprehensive 'coffee table' book on rocks & gems.

‘Calls to Mystic Alice’ by Alice Rose Morgan
This is one of the most readable & enlightening books that have come my way recently. Alice writes from a lifetime of experience of the psychic world. Her insights go way beyond ‘fortune telling’ and mediumship. She sheds light on why we are here & how our souls grow & learn.

‘The Time Traveller’s Wife’ by Audrey Niffenegger and ‘Torn Clouds’ by Judy Hall
Time travel has long been mooted as a possibility and quantum physics suggests that the present and our concept of time is a convenient construct that mankind uses. Audrey Niffenegger seamlessly blends a meaningful, poignant, love story with a time travelling central character to create a novel that feels completely rooted in real life. Judy Hall uses past life regression to weave a multi-layered plot and takes us back to Ancient Egypt.

'The Da Vinci Code' and 'The Mists of Avalon'
'The Da Vinci Code' by Dan Brown is one of those books that truly earns the title ‘unputdownable’. The pace of the story is breathless & keeps you turning the pages. If you love chases, clues and adventure you’ll love this book. The action is all packed into a twenty four hour period and it feels like you are living every minute with Robert and Sophie the main characters.‘The Da Vinci Code’ is quite a contrast to ‘The Mists of Avalon’. Whereas the former races us through the events of a single day, the latter takes us on a majestic journey through the lives of several generations of the women who are central to the legend of King Arthur.

A Beginner's Guide to Changing the World
I thought I’d share my summer holiday reading with you all. My chosen book was A Beginner’s Guide to Changing the World by Isabel Losada.

What The Bleep Do We Know!?
I heard all the excitement about ‘What the Bleep!?’ when it was first released in the cinemas, but was unable to make a screening- the nearest one being two hours from me. So I’m delighted that this documentary film is available now on DVD.

The Biology of Belief, by Bruce H. Lipton Ph.D.
How do your cells react to the messages you send them? What is the most healing emotion? Why does the pressure of modern living leave you open to illness? The Biology of Belief is a 3 CD pack that provides answers to these questions and more.
