We've been told 6 - 8 glasses of water a day is necessary for a healthy body, plump skin and shiny hair. Do you even know how much water you drink?
Thirst is absolutely not an indicator for whether your body needs water: by the time you feel thirst, you are already at least 6 hours behind in the dehydration cycle. At least, that is what they taught me when I worked as an Outward Bound Instructor. It was recommended to us that an active person should be drinking enough water to have to urinate every hour or so. While that sounds like a lot of trips to the toilet, it's a good thing to be constantly helping your body flush toxins from your system.

I like to get up in the morning and have a glass of fresh water before I drink my coffee. It helps me get off to a clean start on the inside. After my coffee (and I actually drink decaf as a rule), I make sure my stainless steel water bottle
At night I fill my bottle again and leave it on the nightstand in case I wake up thirsty.
To make sure my water is tasty, I use a Pur Filter and often add Dr. Brandt's Pomegranite Antioxidant drops to the bottle for good measure.
How much water are YOU drinking? Take some time to notice throughout the day how well you are doing to stay hydrated. How often do you feel thirsty? Are you reaching for sodas and coffee drinks (which actually dehydrate the body) instead of water?
Consider improving your health from the inside with pure water - your skin, hair and youthful glow will thank you for it, and it's a whole lot cheaper than a jar of La Mer (which means, BTW, The Sea...and we're right back to water...)!
Check out Amazon.com for more info on antioxidants and water filter pitchers:
(they have several flavors - I like Pomegranite and Blueberry best)
(I absolutely cannot live without this water filter pitcher. I don't agree with buying tons of small plastic bottles that are used once and then tossed into a landfill forever. This pitcher makes my life easy and guilt-free!)
