Scrapbook A Calendar

My calendar is something that I absolutely can not live without! Every year I find myself searching for that perfect calendar. I have three children that are involved in many different activities so I need large boxes to fill in each days events and appointments. I struggle each year to find a calendar that I like, that also has the appropriate sized daily boxes.

A customized personal calendar is the answer! There are endless possibilities to the styles of calendars you can create on your own. You can purchase premade blank calendars and just start decorating. Or you can create the entire thing yourself.

Last year, my sister made my mom a CD case calendar. If you flip a CD case open all the way and sit it down the lid stays propped up. You can slide a little layout in the gooves, add a calendar and viola, the perfect little desk calendar! My sister used a little tiny calendar purchased from an office store that she glued to the layout. She used stickles on the important dates such as Dec. 25th, birthdays, Easter, etc. My mom loved this little calendar.
All she had to do each month was pull off the month and toss it and her calendar was ready for the next month. My friend created a CD calendar as well but she made 12 different layouts. One for each month with that months calendar glued right on.

A Free Monthly Calendar can be created and printed out to use on your own personalized calendar. You can also purchase cheap wall calendars, desk calendars, magnetic calenndars, and purse sized calendars at the dollar store and then alter them.

A wall calendar can be altered by adding a scrapbook layout over the original picture. Many of the purse calendars you can purchase at the dollar store have a clear cover with a picture slipped in. Those are perfect for scrapbooking your own cover and replacing the picture with your own artwork!

Another really cute calendar idea is to use a clipboard. Print out your calendar, decorate a clip board, then clip your calendar pages to the clip board. Each month you just unclip and the next months calendar is right there.

Handmade calendars also make really great gifts that can be enjoyed all year. They make great Christmas and Birthday presents.
